आता मी पाच महिन्यांची झाली आहे. मागच्या महिन्यात मला पालाथी-उतानी होता येऊ लागले तेव्हा माझ्या आई बाबांना काय आनंद झाला होता सांगू! मी तीन महिन्यांची झाले तसे ते वाट पहात होते. त्यांना एक महिनाभर वाट पहायला लावली मी. पण आज मात्र त्यांना सुखद आश्चर्याचा धक्का देऊन उधारी चुकती केली.

मागच्या दोन आठवड्यांच्या सर्दी-पडश्यातून बाहेर येऊन आज मला चांगलेच ताजेतवाने वाटत होते. दिवसभर आई-बाबांसोबत तसेच ताईसोबत खूप मस्ती केली होती.

संध्याकाळी मला खाली मोठ्या अंथरुनावर खेळायला सोडून आई स्वयंपाक घरात गेली. माझी ताई माझ्या आजूबाजूला खेळत होती व बाबा बातम्या वाचत बसले होते. या सगळ्यांचे लक्ष आपल्याकडे कसे आणावे असा विचार आला. आणी काय... गडगड-गडगड... पोटावरून पाठीवर व पाठीवरून पोटावर... हाताने जमीनीवर रेटा तर पायाने पुन्हा पुढे सरकायचा प्रयत्न... जमेल तसे मी सैरा भैरा फिरु लागले... अर्थात आतापर्यंत आई-बाबा व ताई यांच्या नजरा माझ्यावर वळलेल्या होत्या. पंधरा-वीस मिनिटांनी शेवटी बाबांनी कौतुकाने उचलून घेऊन खूप-खूप पापे घेतले. आई व ताईंची सुद्धा पापे घ्यायला झुंबड उडाली... कारण काय माहिती आहे? मी आडवे-तिडवे फिरत-फिरत तब्बल आठ फूट पुढे सरकले होते.

आहे की नाही मी आता बढती बच्ची?

पाळणा प्रवेश - into the craddle

आमच्या घरात तसेच माझ्या आजोळी पण बारसे धार्जिन नसल्याचा वडिलधायांचा ग्रह असल्याने माझे बारसे तसे होणार नाही. पण माझ्या आई बाबांना खूप हौस असल्याने त्यांनी हा छोटेखाणी कार्यक्रम करून मला पाळण्यात टाकले.




हे आमचे चौकोणी कुटुंब... आमचा तसा पहिला एकत्रित उत्सव!

दुसरा आठवडा - Second week

Aru-tai says "same to same"... गट्टी आमच्या दोघींची! माझ्या ताईने मला तिच्यासारखाच झगा घातला आहे... पहा ना कशा दिसतो आम्ही...




आम्हाला भेटायला आलेले पहिले नातेवाईक. अमित-मानसींना आम्ही काय म्हणावे बरे, दादा-वहिनी की काका-काकू?




आम्ही दिवसभर खेळतो. माझी झोप होईपर्यंत ताई माझी वाट पाहते. मग ती मला गोष्टी सांगते.





आणि रात्री झोपताना आमच्या गुजगोष्टी ऐकताना आई-बाबांना केवढा आनंद होतो म्हणून सांगू!

I am in OT with my dad... just after my birth.





My Aru-tai was awake since early morning to greet me. My grandma seems to be very happy.





Now I in room... my dad and mom are around.




My moms friends become first to visit me at the hospital.



by now my dad is comfortable while taking care of my needs.




My Aru-tai just dont want to leave me... but she has to go home in the night.





It's sleeping time now...

Aru-tai's best friend Gunnu is also with me for cake cutting.




I feel great as my beloved ones are around me.




My Arushi tai calls me Raj-hans... she had decided this pet name for me long back before my birth. I just love it.

I am here...

It's the pleasent morning of April 21st. My parents arrive in Texas Women's Hospital and it turns out to be the best morning of their life as I am born at 7:51am. I am 18 inches and doing just great!

I am thankful to the Lord to give me this birth in the best family I could have ever asked for!

My mom, dad and my Aru-tai are my first love!
I know they have been counting days and minutes for my arrival and they love and care me the most!!

Now let me introuduce you my family...

Kamal-aaji... my Great grandma... dad's dad's mom :) she likes we calling her panji-aaji... people call her zashi-chi-rani as she literally fought wars at very young age! panji-aaji, we all know that whatever we are today... are because of you!

Radhabai-aaji... maternal grandma... mom's dad's mom ... nobody knows if she has ever got angry! ... she accpted all the odd things that life offered her.

Grandparents -- Vijaya (grandma) and Madhukar (grandfather)... I miss them. They are waiting to see me!
I have been hearing a lot of heroic stories of your life from my dad, your child whom you gave everything that you had!

Grandparents -- Umakant (grandpa) and Kamal (Grandma)... my grandma has made to meet me by crossing so many hurdles.. I feel great!
Anna ajoba, my parents talk about you everyday... what a great respect they have about you! You are hero for them!

My paternal Uncles and Aunts... and my cousin brothers and sisters

1. Kishor (Bhau kaka) and Suvarna kaku ... My big and strong uncle ... I dont need to worry about anybody!
Shashi tai and Omkar dada ... my elsdest sis and bro from Kende family ... I want to be all rounder like shashi tai.

2. Surekha (tai attya) and Vishnu mama ... my eldest attya ... believe me, my dad is grown up dude now so dont consider him a child anymore!
Supriya tai ... my eldest sis ... my dad started loving children while playing with her when he himself was a child.
Aparna didi ... my eldest didi ... she was the cutest child my dad ever saw before!
Shri dada ... this is my eldest bro ... my dad is generally harsh on him but they love each other a lot!

3. Sunita (akka attya) and Arvind mama ... she tried her best to come down to support my parents!
Mayur dada ... ooh, I have been hearing a lot about him from my dad... eager to see him
Priya tai ... my dad says she is the most gentle child in the whole world!
Seema and Sapana didi ... I wish I grow brilling like them !!

4. Sulabha attya and Pavan mama ... my dad is her weak point ... I am looking forward to meet my dads best friend, mai-attya!
Puja didi ... niece, my dad respects a lot ... want to learn a lot of good things from her!
Purva didi ... want to know her as wants my dad wants, too.
Parth ... a cool dude! I know he became dada to my Aru tai just by a few days!

5. Vivek (appa kaka) and Anita kaku ... my parents love and adore appa-kaka a lot!
Bhargav dada ... hey hey ... he is no more yougest baby in our family!

6. Manisha attya and Dhanu mama ... my parents say they are the best couple on the earth!
Manisha attya, I know you were going to come and help my parents at my birth. But dont worry, now I will come to meet you. I wish I win my dads heart as you did.
Vivek dada ... I am going to join you to hear those wonderful stories from Manisha-attya!

7. Lata attya and Sachin mama ... this attya is the sweet heart of the family!
Sakshi tai ... I know you are like my Aru-tai in lot of things!


My maternal Uncles and Aunts... and my cousin brothers and sisters

1. Hemakant mama and mami ... my parents have a great love and respect for my Pappu mama.
Hrikesh-da ... my parents say he is a typical Beed style Ramdasi... honest and innocent!
Maitreyi tai ... My Aru-tai says Piddu is her best friend! ... Aru tai remembers her every day and also mimics her!

2. Jyotsna mavshi and Atul kaka ... oh God, do I have words to tell about them? My mom and dad say they want us (me and Aru-tai) to be tai mavshi. They are the role models for my my parents!
Adu-dada ... I know he is no different to my mom from me or Aru-tai ... he was the only love for her before we were born.
Athu-dada ... my parents started comparing me with him even before I was born as they do about Adu-dada and Aru-tai.

3. Jyoti mavshi and Manish kaka ... she is my moms best friend while my dad is still on his way to build deep friendship with this great man!
Piyush-dada ... my mom says she wouldn't live if we are active like him. Only the God and Jyoti-mavshi know how to handle him!
Gauri ... leader of our beed gang and another best friend of Aru-tai... and hope mine, too, soon.

4. Kaustubh mama ... hey hey ... I know my parents truoble you a lot... so get bigger now... go get my mami and you will be promoted and freed from all the torture you get from all these so called elders.

Plus, lots of wonderful extended family!!
